Synthetic sports pitch maintenance company Replay Maintenance features in a special book that’s been created to mark 50 years of the annual Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Awards.
Launched at the 50th PFA Awards, the commemorative book celebrates five decades of the sport’s most coveted individual awards.
Replay’s CEO Garry Martin, together with Managing Director Nick Harris, rubbed shoulders with footballing legends including Erling Haaland, Rachel Daly, Bukayo Saka and Lauren James who all received prestigious awards at the ceremony.
The 50th anniversary commemorative book – a fully illustrated hardback produced in partnership by the PFA and leading publisher St James’s House, and written by two-time winner of the British Sports Journalist of the Year award Harry Harris – features a glossy double page spread which takes the reader nostalgically through the history of Replay Maintenance and the firm’s phenomenal successes in recent years.
The book includes exclusive interviews with some of the greatest names in football, past and present, from Kenny Dalglish to Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer to Ruud van Nistelrooy, along with commentary from legendary manager Arsène Wenger, and highlights the continued, wide-ranging impact of the PFA’s work.
Richard Freed, founder of St James’s House, said: “It’s an honour to have worked on this book with the PFA and so many greats from the game – not least football-writing legend Harry Harris. The 50th anniversary of the PFA Awards provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on the past, present and future of the beautiful game.”
Nick Harris, Managing Director of Replay Maintenance, said: “We are thrilled to have been invited to be a part of the PFA Awards and 50th Anniversary publication. The PFA and St James’s House have a long history of working in collaboration with some of the world’s most renowned brands, a list that now includes Replay Maintenance. With over 20 years in the industry, we are delighted that artificial pitch maintenance is at the forefront of professional football, long may it continue.”
Based on the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire border at Long Bennington, Replay Maintenance has established a well-renowned reputation within the artificial sports surface sector over the past two decades. More recently, the company has expanded its presence in the sports equipment field with the introduction of the Player Sports e-commerce site.
